Meshes
Anna Semenoff and Jordan Schinkel
Exhibition Dates: June 19th, 2019 - July 20th, 2019
Meshes is an immersive multimedia installation that explores the spaces between senses. The labyrinthian layout uses manipulated light and sound to weave our threads of perception into an augmented space – one that betrays the balance between sensorial clarity and incoherence.
Anna Semenoff is a Calgary based artist; she recently received her degree at the Alberta University of the Arts in Sculpture. Interested in spaces – her installations consider a phenomenological framework – the relationships between things and people regarding our placements.
Jordan Schinkel is a visual artist in Canada exploring processes which reconcile and reconstruct fragmented moments, actions, and images.
Sled Island Visual Art is curated by Areum Kim and Toni Cormier and presented in partnership with Sled Island Music and Arts Festival.
Since 2007, Sled Island's thoughtful, eclectic programming and independent spirit have produced a one-of-a-kind festival experience.
